It is the declared aim of benevol-jobs.ch, the platform operated by benevol Switzerland (umbrella organisation), the benevol specialist offices and other licensees*, to offer you services which you can use with the greatest degree of anonymity possible. We require personal data only as far as is absolutely necessary for the rendering of the requested services and allow you to choose how the personal data you submit is used and by whom it is viewed. We guarantee confidential treatment of all the personal data entrusted to us and we assure you that your data is collected with great care, handled with the strictest confidentiality and used only for the specific purpose for which it was collected. We comply with the applicable legal requirements and the following basic principles of data processing. By submitting your personal data on the websites of benevol-jobs.ch, you expressly agree that your personal data will be handled in accordance with these basic principles.
*A list of the specialist offices can be found at the end of this data protection declaration.

2. DATA COLLECTION AND STORAGE
2.1 Data submission
Any data entrusted to us are stored in the database of benevol-jobs.ch, are handled with the strictest confidentiality and are not forwarded to third parties, except in cases pursuant to article 6 herein.
2.2 Registration of volunteers
As a volunteer you may register your profile on the web sites of benevol-jobs.ch. You yourself determine what personal data you enter into the profile. For registration purposes, an e-mail address must be submitted. The scope of the personal data required for use of a service and the manner in which it is handled are set out in the description of the corresponding service on the web sites of benevol-jobs.ch.
2.3 Registration of nonprofits
When opening a new account, nonprofits must include all the necessary information for the management of their account with benevol-jobs.ch. Any and all data generated by the nonprofit are stored in the database of benevol-jobs.ch for an indefinite period to facilitate a reactivation at a later time. If the data remain unused over a long period, benevol-jobs.ch reserves the right to delete such data.
2.4 Storage of access data
a) Cookies
benevol-jobs.ch uses cookies to simplify use of its online offers and to obtain information for the purpose of improving its offers. Cookies are small text files which the web browser places in a designated directory of the user’s system. Both persistent cookies and session cookies are used. Persistent cookies, for example, enable automatic login if the user gives its express consent upon registering. Session cookies, for example, store the language code selected by the user or the login data used in a visitor session on the web site. Cookies enable us to collect data on how our offers are used. This enables us to improve the quality and the relevance of the search results generated for registered users who authorize cookies. By configuring their browser accordingly, users have the possibility at all times to disable the acceptance of cookies or of receiving a warning before each acceptance of a cookie and thus of determining whether or not they accept the cookie concerned. The services of benevol-jobs.ch can generally be used also without the acceptance of cookies. However, the use of certain functionalities can be limited if cookies are disabled.
b) Log-file
Upon accessing our web sites, furthermore, general access data is stored in a log file for statistical purposes. This concerns in particular:
•    IP address
•    Date and time of access
•    Name of the file viewed
•    Access status (OK, partial content, document not found, etc.)
•    Page on which the access was made
•    Top-Level-Domain (*.ch, *.fr, *.com etc.)
•    Web browser used
•    Operating system used.
benevol-jobs.ch processes such data anonymously to ascertain for example the days on which there is the most web site activity. No person-related evaluation of the log files is carried out. Access to our web sites is further measured externally by NET-Metrix AG as part of the NET-Metrix Audit and certified on a monthly basis. These certified access data are used by benevol-jobs.ch as evidence of its reach in marketing and sales. Likewise, the NET-Metrix Audit does not comprise a person-related evaluation of data. You can find more detailed information on the NET-Metrix Audit at http://www.net-metrix.ch/.
c) Tracking and analysis tools
We use a variety of technical tracking and analysis systems to measure and analyse the use of our services. These measurements may be anonymous or personally identifiable. The collected data may also be disclosed by us or the third-party suppliers of such technical systems for processing.
The most commonly used analysis tool is Google Analytics, a service of Google Inc. This tool generally makes it possible to transfer the collected data to a Google server in the USA or another third-party country with the IP addresses anonymised via IP anonymisation so that they cannot be associated. The IP address transmitted by your browser under Google Analytics is not combined with other Google data. You may object to the collection and processing of these data via Google Analytics by setting an opt-out cookie that prevents your data from being collected when you visit this website in future. You can find detailed information about this at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

2.5 Contact Form
If you submit inquiries to us via the contact form, your information from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not disclose this data without your consent.

3. SOCIAL PLUG-INS
We use so-called social plug-ins on our websites. Plug-ins can be recognised by their social network logos. All of the plug-ins we use are set up with two-click functionality. They are only activated if you click on the icon.
When you open one of our websites that has an activated plug-in, your browser will create a direct connection to the provider’s servers. The content of the plug-in is sent directly from the provider to your browser and integrated into the site. By integrating the plug-in, certain information is sent to the third party and saved by them.
If you are not a member of the social network in question, your IP address may still be captured and saved by the network via the social plug-in. If you are already logged into the social network, the third parties can immediately link your visit to our websites to your personal profile in the social network. If you interact with the plug-ins, for example with the “Like”, “+1”, "LinkedIn", “Twitter” or “Instagram” buttons, the corresponding information will also be sent directly to a server at the third party and saved there. The information is also published on the social network, in your Twitter or Instagram account and then shown to your contacts. For more information about the purpose and scope of the data capture, the further processing and use of the data by the third party, and the related rights and settings options to protect your privacy, please look at the data privacy statements of the third parties themselves.
If you would like to prevent Google, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram from linking your personal information captured on our websites with the social networks in question, you need to log out of that social network before visiting our website. You can completely prevent plug-ins from being loaded using special add-ons for your browser such as “NoScript” (http://noscript.net/) or „Ghostery“(https://www.ghostery.com/).

3.1 Newsletter
If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require your email address and information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the provided email address and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. No further data will be collected. We use this information exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties. After you have given your consent to the storage of the data, the email address, and their use for sending the newsletter, you can revoke this consent at any time, for example, via the "unsubscribe link" in the newsletter

3.2 Google Maps

This website utilizes the services of Google Maps. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the website and provide you with a convenient use of the map function. By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in, or whether no user account exists. If you are logged into Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish this association with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research, and/or tailoring its website to user needs. Such evaluation is carried out especially (even for users not logged in) for the purpose of providing targeted advertising and informing other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles; however, to exercise this right, you must contact Google. For more information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Google, as well as further details about your rights and options for protecting your privacy, please refer to: www.google.com/policies/privacy/.

3.3 Google Ads
This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Ads will place a cookie on your computer. The cookie for conversion tracking is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages of our website and the cookie has not expired, we and Google can recognize that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page. Each Google Ads customer receives a different cookie. Therefore, cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of Ads customers. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for Ads customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can refuse to set a cookie required for this purpose - for example, by changing your browser setting that generally disables the automatic setting of cookies, or by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com”. Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be collected. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you will have to set the respective opt-out cookie again.

3.4 Google Remarketing
This website uses Google Inc.'s remarketing function. This function is designed to present website visitors with interest-based advertising within the Google advertising network. A so-called "cookie" is stored in the browser of the website visitor, allowing the visitor to be recognized when they visit websites that belong to the Google advertising network. On these websites, the visitor may be shown advertising related to content they have previously accessed on websites that utilize Google's remarketing function.
According to Google's own statements, no personally identifiable information is collected during this process. However, if you do not wish to use Google's remarketing function, you can generally deactivate it by adjusting the appropriate settings at http://www.google.com/settings/ads. Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies for interest-based advertising through the Advertising Network Initiative by following the instructions at http://www.networkadvertising.org/managing/opt_out.asp.

3.5 Google reCAPTCHA
This website uses the reCAPTCHA service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland "Google"). The purpose of this query is to distinguish whether the input is made by a human or automated machine processing. The query involves the transmission of the IP address and, if necessary, further data required by Google for the reCAPTCHA service. For this purpose, your input is transmitted to Google and used there. However, your IP address is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of this service. The IP address transmitted in the context of reCAPTCHA by your browser will not be merged with other data from Google.
Your data may also be transferred to the USA. For data transfers to the USA, there is an adequacy decision by the European Commission, the "Privacy Shield". Google participates in the "Privacy Shield" and has subjected itself to its requirements. By clicking on the query, you consent to the processing of your data. Processing takes place with your consent. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out based on the consent until the revocation.
For more information about Google reCAPTCHA and its privacy policy, please refer to: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

This website also uses Google Analytics for cross-device analysis of visitor flows, conducted through a user ID. If you have a Google user account, you can deactivate cross-device analysis of your usage under "My Data," "Personal Information" in your account settings. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. We would like to point out that on this website, Google Analytics has been extended with the code "_anonymizeIp();" to ensure anonymous collection of IP addresses. This means that IP addresses are processed in a truncated form, preventing them from being directly linked to a particular individual. Should any data collected be linked to personal information, it will be immediately excluded, and the personal data will be deleted promptly.Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide further services related to website and internet usage to the website operator. For exceptional cases in which personal data is transferred to the USA, Google is subject to the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework. Google Analytics uses cookies. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. You can prevent the storage of cookies through corresponding settings in your browser software; however, please note that you may not be able to fully utilize all functions of this website in that case. Furthermore, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your usage of the website (including your IP address) and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.Additionally, you can prevent the usage of Google Analytics by clicking on this link: Google Analytics Opt-out. This will place an opt-out cookie on your device, preventing the processing of personal data by Google Analytics. Please note that if you delete all cookies on your device, these opt-out cookies will also be deleted, meaning you will need to reactivate them if you wish to continue preventing this form of data collection. The opt-out cookies are set per browser and device, so they must be activated separately for each browser, computer, or device.

3.7 Google WebFonts
This website uses web fonts provided by Google for a consistent presentation of fonts. When you access a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache to display text and fonts correctly. If your browser does not support web fonts, a default font is used from your computer.
For more information about Google Web Fonts, visit https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and refer to Google's privacy policy at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
