ClimbAID is a non-profit organisation that aims to foster the physical and psycho-social development of refugee children and teenagers through climbing.
According to UNHCR, today 65.3 million people are refugees, asylum seekers or displaced;
1 in 113 of all people on the planet. Half of all refugees are children under 18. We are witnessing the highest levels of displacement in modern day history.
Climb up and climb out of the demoralising environment. ClimbAID aims to stimulate the mind of refugee children and teenagers through climbing; foster a sense of community among them and give them a feeling of accomplishment. It will contribute to coping with the psychological damage caused by conflict and social marginalisation experienced by many refugees living at the edge of society.
