Empowermefirst.college is a charity based in Switzerland aiming to make upper secondary school

education accessible to millions of youths in emerging and developing countries.
We need you to help us educate millions! Volunteer with us

1) as trustees (Stifungsräte)
Main responsibilities

- Network in order to find students, schools, tutors, authors, get school boards, governments, NGOs on board,
build relationships with funders and negotiate for funds for staffing, infrastructure, scholarships.

- Advise and assist within your expertise in fundraising / sponsorship, financial planning / accounting, legal setup,
legal consulting, marketing / social media, school / NGO setup, strategies, development and policies, online

teaching tools / technology

- Monitor the financial position and ensure that we operate within the aim of the foundation

Qualifications

- Fluent or native English speaker
- Good network, including potential sponsors and organizations for collaboration
- Expertise in either Law, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, IT, start-up, Leadership or similar

2) as member of school board (Schulratsmitglied)
Main responsibilities

- ensure the smooth running of the school by advising on strategy, curriculum, policies, budget, content, student
achievement, HR.

Qualifications

- Fluent or native English speaker
- Expertise in either Education (policy making), Politics, Law, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, IT, start-up,

Leadership or similar

3) as department head (Fachvorstände)
Main responsibilities

- Create a global curriculum, plan content and teacher trainings, communicate with leadership, tutors, authors

Qualifications

- Fluent or native English speaker
- Long-standing experience as upper secondary school teacher or university lecturer

4) as author
Main responsibilities

- Create attractive online learning materials that relate to students’ realities and allow for explorative, student-
driven learning, create teacher trainings, communicate constructively with leadership, department heads and

tutors.

Qualifications

- Fluent or native English speaker, creative, quick in learning to work with online tools
- Graduate students or young teachers at upper secondary school or university

5) as tutor
Main responsibilities

- Deliver motivating online education, act as mentor, communicate constructively with leadership, department
heads and tutors.

Qualifications

- Fluent or native English speaker
- Experienced or young teacher at upper secondary school or university

6) as web wizard / influencer / fundraiser
Main responsibilities

- Create a positive image of empowermefirst.college and make it known to future students and donors.
- Help with online teaching tool, keep it safe, up-to-date and easy to use

Qualifications

- Good knowledge of the dangers and chances of social media, well connected
- At all times, represent the values and mission of empowermefirst.college and diligently follow policies, code

of conduct
